Questions

Frequently asked questions

As a general rule, once your annual turnover exceeds CHF 100,000. It depends on your business; we confirm it in the consultation.

Quarterly with the effective method, or every six months if you use a net tax rate. We tell you which suits you.

You pay late-payment interest and, depending on the case, fines. That’s why we stay ahead of every deadline.

Don’t reply yet; send it to us. We review what they’re asking for and respond within the deadline.

Almost always. Spain has no turnover threshold below which VAT does not apply; only some activities are exempt, such as healthcare or education. We confirm it in the consultation.

Every quarter, with form 303, from the 1st to the 20th of the following month; the fourth quarter by 30 January. Companies with more than 6 million euros in annual turnover file every month.

If you file late without being asked, you pay a 1 % surcharge plus 1 % for each full month of delay; after 12 months, 15 % plus interest. That is why we work ahead of the deadline.

Do not reply yet; send it to us. We check what they are asking for and reply on time.

Yes, unless you qualify as a small business (Kleinunternehmer), meaning your turnover was at most €25,000 in the previous year and does not exceed €100,000 in the current year. We check with you whether it is worth it.

Every quarter, by the 10th day after it ends, if the previous year's VAT was between €2,000 and €9,000; above that, every month. A permanent extension (Dauerfristverlängerung) moves the deadline back.

The tax office can charge a late-filing surcharge. For annual returns it is 0.25% of the tax per month started, at least €25. That is why we work ahead of the deadline.

Do not reply yet; send it to us. We check what they are asking for and reply on time.

Yes, unless you are under the exemption threshold: in 2026, if you invoiced at most €85,000 in sales or €37,500 in services in the previous year. If you exceed €93,500 or €41,250 in the current year, you charge VAT from that point.

Under the standard scheme, every month, between the 15th and 24th depending on your company. From 1 January 2027 the simplified scheme ends: up to €1M turnover, the return becomes quarterly.

Late interest of 0.20% per month applies and, if the return is late, a 10% surcharge (articles 1727 and 1728 of the CGI). That is why we file ahead of the deadline.

Do not reply yet and send it to us. We check what they are asking for and respond on time.

Yes, unless you are a freelancer under the flat-rate scheme (forfettario): income of up to €85,000 in the previous year. If you exceed €100,000 during the year, you leave the scheme and charge VAT from that point. E-invoicing is mandatory for everyone anyway.

Every month, by the 16th of the following month. With turnover of up to €500,000 in services or €800,000 in other activities, you can opt to settle quarterly, with 1% interest.

Penalties and interest apply. If you correct it yourself before being asked (ravvedimento operoso), the penalty is reduced. That is why we pay ahead of the deadline.

Do not reply yet and send it to us. We check what they are asking for and respond on time.
